The History of The Brownlow
The Brownlow at Ivinghoe was built in the early 1800's by Lord Brownlow to serve the newly finished Grand Union Canal. It was also well renowned as been a popular local pub named The Brownlow Arms. The pub closed its doors for the last time in the early 60's and was converted into a family home. The Brownlow has remained in the same family since it was originally built.
The Brownlow today
The old stables have now been converted into luxury accommodation - retaining many original features and plenty of character. As The Brownlow is situated by the canal with a long driveway to the property, it maintains a very private and picturesque location.
