Pitstone Windmill - beautifully situated beneath the Chiltern Hills, near the delightful village of Ivinghoe.  This mill is one of the oldest in England.  Owned by the National Trust and restored to working order by volunteers, is a living tribute to the village craftsmen who built and worked it during a bygone age.

Woburn Abbey - A beautiful stately home set in a 3,000 acre deep park and home to the Dukes of Bedford for nearly 400 years.

Whipsnade Zoo - One of Europe's largest wildlife conservation parks covering more than 600 acres and home to more than 2,500 animals including many endangered species.

Ivinghoe Beacon - The Ridgeway  - a prominent hill and landmark in the Chiltern Hills standing 249 m above sea level. The Beacon is a popular weekend spot for walkers, sightseers and model aircraft enthusiasts.  The beacon lies very close to the borders of nearby Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and is higher than any point in these neighbouring counties.
